Women's Leadership Series

Our Women's Leadership Series is designed for current or aspiring female leaders seeking progressive approaches to boosting self-confidence, influencing at all organizational levels, living a more balanced life, and inspiring other women to do the same. This series consists of five full-day workshops over five months and concludes with an actionable personal development plan as well as knowledge-sharing celebration.

Day One: Personal Resiliency-Leadership Foundations

  • Understand what it takes to really thrive in our increasingly distracting, fast-paced, and competitive culture
  • Get a balcony view of yourself and your life at home and work so you can see what's going well, what needs improvement; what to hold onto, what to let go of
  • Learn the true definition of work/life balance (most of us have the meaning all wrong and it's causing stress) and how to achieve and sustain it
  • Get to the heart of what's essential for you to be successful, and set the stage for attracting it

Day Two: Positive Psychology-The Key to True Success

  • Explore recent discoveries from the fields of neuroscience and positive psychology about the true cause and effect relationship between success and happiness
  • Reprogram your current thinking to increase focus, clarity, creativity, and achieve desired results
  • Rediscover and awaken your "Core Self" to effectively lead yourself and your life with purpose and intention
  • Use new tools to become an authentic mindful leader and proliferate these approaches throughout your organization

Day Three: Emotional Intelligence-Engaging Yourself and Others

  • Learn why advanced emotional intelligence (EQ) is crucial to your success in our hectic, technology-obsessed world
  • Discover the five levels of EQ and how to leverage them to gain influence at home and work
  • Assess your own EQ and develop a plan for improvement
  • Become better at bringing out the best in yourself and those you lead

Day Four: The Power of Personality-Living Your Values and Managing Stress

  • Use the MBTI personality assessment to better understand yourself and appreciate others
  • Learn how to define and live your values to maximize your potential
  • Acquire strategies for calmly and confidently addressing conflict at work and home
  • Explore how personality type impacts stress and discover tools to manage your response to it

Day Five: Sustaining Success-Goal and Action Planning Series graduation and networking event

  • Reflect on the series and develop an action plan to move the learning forward
  • Celebrate your transformation with a graduation and networking event for friends and colleagues

 

Facilitators

Lorraine Twombly, Co-Owner of Priority Learning for more than 21 years with Ralph Twombly, uses her 33 years of business experience in the development of people. As a certified Coach, as well as MBTI and Personal Organization facilitator, she provides a fun and relaxed atmosphere to encourage teams, supervisors, managers and leaders to analyze old habits and to challenge them to explore new ones. Lorraine's specialties include coaching individuals and executives to improve performance and leadership skills, business development, and the overall business management of Priority Learning and its clients.

Stacy Rodenberger, M.A. has more than 15 years of experience in the professional development field, focusing on adult learning in a variety of contexts. As a facilitator with Priority Learning, Stacy leads the Associates Series for People of Potential series, the Direct Managers series, and the Leadership Coaching series, providing employees from many different industries with the foundations of leadership and professionalism. Prior to joining Priority Learning, Stacy was the Assistant Director of Student and Teacher Learning at the Portland Museum of Art, where she created and implemented professional development programs for K-12 educators connecting the museum's collections to the classroom curriculum.

Debra Schuler, B.S., Management is a leadership development trainer, coach, and consultant. After 20 years as a human resources professional specializing in leadership and organizational development for large global technology companies, she specializes in helping individuals lead themselves and their lives with more clarity, purpose, and intention to enjoy greater happiness and success. Debra is certified by the Association for Talent Development and earned a Certificate in Positive Psychology from the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. She is also a certified CoreThemes career counselor and instructor for "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People."

Amy Wood, Psy.D. is a Portland-based psychologist specializing in leadership development through psychotherapy, psychological assessment, executive coaching, training, speaking, and writing. In particular, she is known for helping women to articulate and accomplish their own unique versions of success. She wrote the award-winning book Life Your Way: Refresh Your Approach to Success and Breathe Easier in a Fast-paced World and is often called on for her expert opinion by media ranging from local newspapers to Parade Magazine. Dr. Wood earned her doctorate from Adler University and is certified by the College of Executive Coaching.
